                                            นก Brown-Headed Cowbird พบที่ Okanagan Valley

 

              นก Brown-Headed Cowbird เป็นนกอพยพตามฤดูกาล มีให้เห็นกระจัดกระจายทั่วไปในพื้นที่ป่า(Woodlands) ตามต้นไม้ประเภทต้นสนที่มีใบเขียวตลอดทั้งปี นอกจากนั้นยังสามารถพบเห็นได้บริเวณพื้นที่เกษตร (Agricultural areas) และริมฝั่งแม่น้ำ (riparian) นก Brown-Headed Cowbird เป็นนกที่มีสีสันไม่สะดุดตา ตัวผู้มีลำตัวสีดำ ส่วนหัวถึงลำคอเป็นสีน้ำตาล และตัวเมียมีสีน้ำตาลทั้งตัว เป็นนกที่เข้ากลุ่มเข้าพวกได้ดีกับนก Blackbird และนกชนิดอื่น เช่น นกRed-Winged Blackbird  ตอนแรกที่เห็นคิดว่าเป็นนก Rusty Blackbird ตัวผู้ที่มีสีดำทั้งตัว เพราะมันเดินเร็วมาก บางครั้งก็กระโดดไปมาเพื่อจิกกินแมลงอย่างน่าสนุก; Cannings, Richard., Nehls, Harry., Denny, Mike., Trochlell, Dave.
