In English language study, with the combination of internet and English language , a teacher can utilize the internet in his/her language teaching apart from regular classes and websites. The most popular internet innovation which can serve English language teachers’ and student’s need is a weblog or a blog. Everyone can create one’s own blog to serve various purposes of use in order to share views among friends and colleagues. The blog in language study can be divided into two; teacher blog and learner blog. Blog becomes popular in language study with various reasons and advantages. First, it is very cheap tool with easy way to create, but effective. Second, it can provide an immediate response from the blog owner as well as the users. Third, it is free to express one’s idea in the issue raised by the blog owner or the users. In terms of language study, a blog can give language teachers and learners several potential advantages. The obvious advantages can be seen from writing practices, free writing and peer learning including grammar. For example, in writing practice, corrections can be made by a teacher and a learner can receive a response from the teacher at once. In the language study, hot issues of a particular topic in English language, like the frequently wrong spelling words, the use of prepositions etc. can be raised. In the blog, a language learner can have an explanation together with tips and techniques from the blog owner, and sometimes from persons who want to share their knowledge about the topics. Once a questions or doubts occur, learners can post their problems in the blog and they will be given the immediate response at the time the blog owner fixes. In brief, blog is the innovation in internet which can be useful to support English language study along with advantages with its cheap aspect, easy to create but effective including immediate response. A blog is deserved as the fast and effective tool for language study as the learners can easily access and ask what they doubt.
