Event:Palliative Care Leadership Centers (PCLC).
About PCLC, it is ' a national training and mentoring initiative supported by a consortium of funders, with direction and technical assistance provided by the Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC). PCLC offers training and mentoring to help start and expand hospital palliative care programs in the U.S'(1).
There are 9 training centers including UCSF.The two full days conference provide 8 modules

This conference emphasize on admistrative task/bussiness plan
and based on group discussion follow by short modurater summries
Honestly, I don't understand US health care system enough to participate the discussion.
Teaching learning point:
The attendants don't come individually but with team (including physicians,nurses,social workers, health care managers etc).And doing workshop by discussion within their team.
Therefore,it allow health care team to have opportunity planing together.This style may improve effectiveness of setting interdisplinary service. Anyway,from observing, I think American people have unique 'individualism but compacting team work' personality. That mean each person pround and value their professional work, in the same time,they are really concern about their right and well being.
