สวาท..พสุธา..
กลับมาเยือนถิ่น..ที่อยู่..จตุรัสนี้มีชื่อ..ว่า ชาวบ้านแสนสุข
มีดอกไม้ข้างทางมาให้เชยชม
ต้นไม้..ใหญ่..ยังตระหง่านให้เห็น...
ความสุข ของชาวบ้าน คือ..ต้นไม้.....
และต้นไม้..คือชีวิต.....

จากขุนเขาสู่เมือง..เวลาที่แตกต่าง..ชีวิตที่ถูกริดรอน ต้นไม้..ชีวิตที่ถูกรักษา..ในเมือง…ต้นไม้บนขุนเขา..ถูกทำลาย…
I think (as this has puzzled me for many years now) “gardening culture” is missing from “town planning in Thailand”. Where gardens and landscapes are designed in any land development in the West, Thai planners are focusing on “the building” (of concrete, glass, aluminum and steel and plastic,…). The infrastructures and landscapes come as after-thought auxiliary – just patched in. Maintenance is also something not budgeted in but something ‘when (it is) needed’.
** How do we cultivating “gardening Thailand”? for our own benefits? Younger generations? Tourism? Cleaner air? More livable spaces? …
**PS. I have been looking for evidence of ancient gardens in Thailand – from West to East among the sites of ‘Stone ruins’, I would say that any ancient garden if existed have not been restored by Thai Archaeologists. So we have no evident of ancient Thai gardens so far.
