What is the key mission of the occupational therapist in physical health?

หน้าที่หลักของงานกิจกรรมบำบัดในฝ่ายกาย คืออะไร?

First, you need to think about the frame of reference such as PEOP, MoHo, NDT, physical rehabilitation, and biomechanics. You must choose that in right way and appropriate for each patient to improve their occupational performance

อับดับแรกก็ต้องนึกถึง FoR. เช่น PEOP, MoHo, NDT, physical rehabilitation, and biomechanics โดยจะต้องเลือกให้กรอบอ้างอิงให้เหมาะสมกับปัญหาของผู้รับบริการแต่ละคน เพื่อจะได้ส่งเสริมความสามารถในการทำกิจกรรมของเขาให้ดียิ่งขึ้น

 

What are the Thai OTs in physical disfunction’s strengths, weakness, threats and opportunities?   
จุดแข็ง จุดอ่อน สิ่งที่เป็นภัยหรือโอกาสของนักกิจกรรมบำบัดในฝ่ายกายคืออะไร?

Strength is the variety of resources in Thailand. Now we buy a lot tool of practice such as sliding board, climbing board, or curve. This tool is very expensive. Thus you should bring local resources to use in practice. For example, change of therapeutic putty to sticky rice for increase muscle strength of fingers.

Weak point is same to every field of OT is we have a small number of OT in Thailand. And threat is PT and OT work in overlap roles. We should know each other roles. There is the best for the patient if we work together well.

จุดแข็งคือ การให้บริการทางกิจกรรมบำบัดในปัจจุบันเราต้องซื้ออุปกรณ์จากต่างประเทศที่มีราคาแพง แต่ประเทศไทยมีแหล่งทรัพยากรที่หลากหลาย เราสามารถดึงจุดแข็งนี้มาใช้กับการให้บริการได้ คือ การดัดแปลง ประยุกต์อุปกรณ์ที่มีในชุมชน มาใช้ในการรักษา เช่น ใช้กิจกรรมปั้นข้าวเหนียวแทนการปั้น theraputic putty เป็นต้น ส่วนจุดอ่อนก็เหมือนกับในงานกิจกรรมบำบัดของทุกฝ่าย คือ ขาดแคลนทรัพยากรบุคคล นักกิจกรรมบำบัดมีไม่เพียงพอต่อความต้องการของผู้รับบริการ นอกจากนี้ยังมีบทบาทใกล้เคียงกับนักกายภาพบำบัด มีงานบางส่วนที่ทับซ้อนกันอยู่ ทำให้เกิดความสับสน ดังนั้นเราควรรู้บทบาทที่ชัดเจนของแต่ละคน ไม่ทำงานก้าวก่ายกัน สามารถทำงานร่วมกันเพื่อผลประโยชน์ของผู้รับบริการได้

 

What do you see in the future as occupational therapist in physical dysfunction and how is this lead to success?

ในฐานะนักกิจกรรมบำบัด คุณเห็นอะไรที่เกี่ยวกับกิจกรรมบำบัดฝ่ายกายในอนาคตบ้างและจะไปสู่ความสำเร็จนั้นได้อย่างไร?

In the future I want to see multidisciplinary working together and occupational therapist focus on religion, spiritual, and well-being. Occupational therapist realizes about the meaningful of life  and  I want to see the Activity Analysis of Real life context.

ในอนาคตผมอยากเห็นการทำงานแบบทีมสหวิชาชีพมากขึ้น นักกิจกรรมบำบัดเองก็มองถึงปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับศาสนา จิตวิญญาณและคุณภาพชีวิตไปพร้อมๆกับปัจจัยทางร่างกาย ตระหนักถึงกิจกรรมที่มีเป้าหมาย และการวิเคราะห์กิจกรรมที่สอดคล้องกับบริบทจริงของผู้รับบริการ

 

In 2015, Thailand as a member of Asean community, what do you think that AEC is positive or negative impacts for Thai occupational therapist in physical dysfunction?

ในปี 2015 ประเทศจะไทยเป็นหนึ่งในสมาชิกของประชาคมเศรษฐกิจอาเซียน คุณคิดว่าเป็นผลดีหรือผลเสียต่อนักกิจกรรมบำบัดไทยอย่างไร?

For the pros. Is that client from another country can get treatment in Thailand. Thai OTs also work in another country too. But for the cons. Is about the language, Thai people is not good English when compare to others country so that will hard to communication.

ข้อดีคือผู้รับบริการจากประเทศอื่นๆสามารถเข้ารับบริการทางกิจกรรมบำบัดที่ประเทศไทยได้ และเราก็สามารถรับและให้บริการในต่างประเทศได้เช่นกัน ส่วนข้อเสียคือด้านภาษาของคนไทยไม่แข็งแรงเท่าประเทศเพื่อนบ้าน เช่น ฟิลิปปินส์ เป็นต้น
