Adjectives - Determiners 

Determiners   คือคำที่บ่งบอกและ กำหนดคำนาม   เป็นคำที่ใช้อย่าง  adjectives  ชนิดหนึ่งคือเป็นคำนำหน้า common nouns เพื่อให้เกิดความชัดเจน ยิ่งขึ้น  คำที่ทำหน้าที่ deteminers จะมีความคล้ายคลึงกับคำที่ทำหน้าที่  pronouns  ในคำบางชนิด  ดังในตารางแสดงชนิดของ determiners  เปรียบเทียบกับ  pronoun 

Determiner	Pronoun
Articles  ( คำนำหน้านาม ) เช่น   a/an, the
Possesives   ( คำแสดงเจ้าของ ) เช่น my ,your, his, her, its, our, their, the man's, Jim's	เช่น mine, yours, his, hers, its, theirs
Demonstrative ( คำชี้เฉพาะ )   เช่น  this, that, these, those	เช่น this, that, these, those
Quantifiers  ( คำแสดงปริมาณ ) เช่น all, enough, some, any, much, many, several, more,most, less, a lot of, a great/good deal of,a bit of, each, every, no, either, neither, few, little,	เช่น  all,enough, each, some, any, none
Numeral   ( จำนวนตัวเลข )  เช่น one, two, three	เช่น one, two, three

เปรียบเทียบการใช้ดังนี้
Possesive  Adjective : This is my book. นี่เป็นหนังสือของฉัน
Possessive Pronoun: This book is mine. หนังสือนี้เป็นของฉัน

Demonstative Adjective :
Those film digitizers are very expensive. 
   (เครื่องฟิล์มดิจิไทเซอร์ ( ทำฟิล์ม เอกเรย์ เป็น file สามารถอ่านได้จากคอมพิวเตอร์ )เหล่านั้นราคาแพงมาก)
Demonstrative Pronoun:
Those are called film digitizers. เครื่องพวกนั้นเรียกว่า เครื่องฟิล์มดิจิไทเซอร์

ตารางต่อไปนี้เป็นการแสดงการใช้ determiners ต่างๆกับนามนับได้ ( countable Nouns )  และ นามนับไม่ได้  ( uncountable nouns ) เอกพจน์ ( singular ) และพหูพจน์ ( plural )

Quantifier	every/each book - - - - - - either/neither book any book no book one book	- all ( the ) books many books some books ( a ) few books enough books several books both books any books no books two/three books	- all ( the ) milk much milk some milk ( a )  little milk enough milk - - any milk no milk -

Quantifiers

เป็นคำบ่งบอกและกำหนดคำนามในลักษณะของปริมาณ จำนวน  ซึ่งอาจจะจำแนก quantifiers ออกได้เป็น 4 ชนิด

1. คำที่บ่งบอกปริมาณ จำนวนโดยรวม  เช่น   all, both, each,every 
2. คำที่บ่งบอกปริมาณ จำนวนมาก เช่น many, much, a lot of , lots of , plenty of , a great/good deal of
3. คำที่บ่งบอกปริมาณ จำนวนปานกลางถีงน้อย  เช่น  
    ปานกลาง:   some
    น้อย :  a few,few, several, a little,litle, a bit of,less
4. คำที่บ่งบอกปริมาณ จำนวนในเชิงปฏิเสธ : เช่น  any,either,neither, no
