Teaching English by using Brainstorming Technique.

1.  Teacher shows the first picture on the blackboard.

 

2.  Teacher asks the students “What do you think about this picture?

3.  All of students in the class answer the question; swing, tree house, picnic, table, chair, cupboard, pencil, door, window, paper, barn etc.

4.  Teacher writes the words on the blackboard.

5.  Teacher shows the next picture and does the same method.

6.  The students are separated in group.

7.  Teacher give the paper and let the students think about their pictures and write the words that their brainstorm.

8.  The students present their pictures and words to each other.

9.  The teacher corrects the words and asks their friends to brainstorm more words.

Example Group 1 thinks about The Beach

Vocabulary; sand, hot and sunny, beach volleyball, swimming, snorkeling, crab, fish, shell, coral, Patong beach, water skiing, umbrella, kite, canoeing, kayaking, ship, fisherman, sailor, crew, tsunami, resort, bungalow, coconut tree, coconut juice, star fish, jelly fish, cartoon(Nemo) fish etc.

 

Group 2 thinks about The River

Vocabulary; swimming, drink ,Grand Canyon, boat, prawn, shrimp, water fall, crab, fisherman, fishing, boat house, Kanjanaburi, raft(kratong),boat racing contest, candle light, rock, stone etc.

Group 3 thinks about Lady’s Handbag

Vocabulary; money, wallet, powder, comb, mobile phones, calculator, sanitary napkin, tissue paper, pen, watch, wristband, coins, Luis Vuitton, clothes, sweets, expensive, big, leather, fashion, trend, chic, color, size, brand name, quality, travel abroad, lipstick, eye shadow, pub powder, perfume, earrings, camera, photograph etc.

 

 

1.  ความคาดหวังในการเรียนวิชาสัมมนา (Before Action Review)

    First of all, I am a person who did not graduate  in English Major and I can teach English because I used to work in American company as a clerk and first class hotel in Patong Beach as a receptionist and bellman about five years. My English teaching style is a little bit different from the others but I think, my teaching technique can impress and inspire my students to interest in studying English. My skill is English for communication and I want to develop speaking and listening skills for my student.

My objectives before studying this course are how to plan seminar about English for Communication or Listening and Speaking English, how to plan invitations for my target group, how to prepare the location and the handout, how many people that I have to invite ,what is the type that suitable for my thesis proposal, how many budget that I have to spend, how many staff and resources that I have to prepare  and the most important thing is the activities that properly for my thesis.

 

2.  ได้เรียนรู้อะไรบ้างจากผู้สอนและผู้เข้าร่วมสัมมนา

There many things that I have learnt from this course such as listening the missing word from the songs, how to create a new song, how to make a butterfly and fish from the paper, how to create dancing style, how to use power point properly, how to type evaluation form, how to speak English in different styles by using website, I knew that myself suitable for teaching physical college when Khun Kasem Wanted me to be a model, I have known many styles of thesis writing and the most important thing I got website gotoknow that help everything by learning many teaching techniques from many specialists and I hope this website will increase and develop Thai student like this forever.

3.  จะนำความรู้ที่ได้จากการสัมมนา ไปใช้อย่างไร (After a Review)

After finished class on Sunday 4^th , I know the way how to develop and correct my thesis proposal. My objective is clearer. I think that I can set up the seminar correctly. The  seminar in English for Communication or Listening and Speaking English is not difficult as I scared, and I know how to plan invitations for my target group, how to prepare the location and the handout, how many people that I have to invite ,what is the type that suitable for my thesis proposal, how many budget that I have to spend, how many staff and resources that I have to prepare  and the most important thing is the activities that properly for my thesis.
