Is the mission of the World Heritage Committee for ONLY the heritage.

By not responsibly considering all respects involving the ancient construct, the World Heritage Committee (under UNESCO) will do more harm than good to humanity.

The Thai PM has recently stated firmly to protect the Thai territory.  How could one consider the temple to belong to only one nation? The temple entrance at the present time is obviously on the land of a nation and the other part is on another.

 

In this situation, the World Heritage Committee needs to think not only to preseve the place but the peace between the two nations at the border. They must be some kinds of mutual belief and respect by the people around the area in the past.  Should it be left untouched, but peaceful among the local people. Any wrong decision will cause innocent people died and the temple may inevitably be destroyed by the war.

So, the mission of the World Heritage Committee is for ONLY the heritage?
