Sick around the world

            There are several models of Health Care System in the world and every models have both strength and weakness.USA is a big and rich country but  her health care system is one  of the poorest  country  in  the world, many people are susceptible from  health care expenses, so; this session  would like to present the diversities of  Health Care System models in 5 countries  and  then  discuss the pros and cons of each model.

 

United  Kingdom :   

           People  have to pay tax every month for health insurance and the government  support budget to hospital  by per capital ,may be add  on-top  incentive budget  for the hospital that can continuously improve their  quality of health care.

Strength: 

                 - Good job for health promotion

                 - People be awakened to health care

Weakness:  

                  - Take long time to see the  specialist  because you   have to  check-up  with  the family doctors  first and then   they  will refer you to  the specialist

                   - Hospital doctor  get salary from government too cheap

 

Japan :

               People don’t have to pay tax but  it is compulsory  to apply for insurance. There is a single standard  price  in this country because the government  controls the price so there is the same price  both public and private health care service, many people love it  owing  to  the same standard of quality and  not  too expensive.

 

Strength: -Eesy to see specialists

                 -Many choices  with  same price

                 -Fast  for health service

Weakness:

                -  Public hospital lose money because people  prefer to go to private clinic

                - Hospital doctor will get salary from government too                          cheap

  

Germany :

                       Most of  people apply  for social insurance by  pay for  12.5 % from their salary per month except  the person  who doesn’t have work or getting salary lower  than 400 euro .Social insurance will support whom unemployed ,sick  and senile,moreover;this  insurance  fund can bargain the drug  company affect  to  lowering in prices.

 

Strength:

                - People have to pay for social insurance during  work   period and terminate in 60 years-old.

                 - Social insurance support when unemployment ,sickness,and have pension for senile 1,500 euro per month

                

Weakness:

         -  Hospital doctor will get salary from government too cheap

         - Government can’t  recall money from the  people  who work  for  freelance.

         -  Running deficit  in  social insurance fund

 

Taiwan :

        All people have to apply  for social insurance   and this fund will support when you are sick. every people have electronic card  to register  history of  their treatment  utilization. People have many choices to consume health service.

 

Strength:

                 - Fast for health service and see specialists doctor

                 - Cheap  price

                 - People be awakened to health care

                 - Every people appreciate in Health care system

                

Weakness:

                 -  Social insurance face a problem run deficit

                 -  People come to see doctor more than is necessary

 

Switzerland:

          Health care system in Switzerland, all people apply  for health insurance and government pay for poor people. health insurance support when you sick.

 

Strength:

                - price is cheap

                - people be awakened to health care

                

Weakness:

             - Hospital doctor will get salary from government too cheap

             - Social insurance face a problem run deficit
