Welcome to English Volunteer Teacher Program in Trang, Thailand

I'm going to open my house for homestay of each group of 6-8 English volunteer teachers at cheap cost and help arrange for Trang airport pickup teaching experience, school placement and contact, Office of Trang Educational Service Area contacts, guidelines for Thai schooling system, certificate of attendance, welcoming dinner at Thai restaurant, cultural events and learning, cultural exchange, school visit, transportation to workplace, Thai classical dancing practice, Thai national costume wearing and photos, Thai language training, local life in Trang, one-day trip with tour guide, English camp, teacher training, temple stay for 2-3 days, village stay for 2-3 days at student's house or parent's house, community development, suggestions for travelling around, motorbike for rent, etc. Air-conditioned bedrooms, breakfast, meeting room, living room, books for teaching English, internet, TV and English programs, DVD are provided.

I would like to give more opportunities to students and teachers and people in rural areas and small schools to have exposure to English-speaking environment and culture. Also, I can work part-time at home for my family. The duration must be at least 2 weeks. It's a kind like B&B easy-going homestay plus helping with teaching techniques, lesson preparation and ideas for teaching English as a foreign language plus anything great & excellent that I can do. The house is normal, not very luxurious like 4-5 star rating but friendly, safe, welcoming and easy-going life together. The program is open for application now and the first group should be able to commence on the 15 May 2010 which is the start of new school semester/academic year. The cost for homestay, arrangement and administration is about 350 USD or 250 GBP per week.

Perhaps, some pictures and maps can make this program a more eye-catching call for adventures.

At USD350 per week for Bed and Breakfast, it is quite good for casual tourists but may be a tat too high for backpackers (compare to AUD15 per day bed only in Sydney, Australia). Good luck with your program ;-)
