I have been writing away madly for weeks now, going OK, but slowly, and my associate supervisor is generally happy with my work.  However, she has been metionning that I need to improve my writing style that I need to get a better flow into my work that it needs to be more discursive that is it is still a bit too stilted. I rewrite and rewrite, but it still doesn't seem to get there. For this reason, she recommends me to have a look the book called Elements of Style by Strunk & White, for example, is easy going but very good.  She also advises me to read a lot and write a lot if I want to get good.
