Today me and friends 4th year Occupational Therapy student University. Attended the seminar Therapists in recipients Ria on Jan psychiatric Pregnancy by Dr. Supaluk  seminar gave us a lot of knowledge .

Today I have many things. From the seminar was repeated for readers to read. I hope that the readers will get to know a few things from reading this.

Occupational Therapy in mental health whose mission is critical?

Occupational therapy for psychiatric patients and encourage a better quality of life . Happy in life and be able to live on their own, most focus on recovery mental illness to return to close to normal as possible. In Thailand, just had to change about attitudes regarding psychiatric patients did not last long . Currently, many hospitals have tried to focus policy making to send to the community . Focused on building community networks , such as building a network to hospital board. Etc. But this is going to work with difficulties due . Each organization is dependent on different missions , allowing the transmission to the recipient under the coordination of services and service recipients to forward it was with difficulty. Includes a limited number of patients in each hospital and also a few specialty hospitals . To make the services has been underserved .

What treatment is most successful ?

Since it has been to work and study in Malaysia. Permanente 's hospital The hospital also offers a focus on service recipients to work in a real place . Do not focus on the treatment of treatment in hospital. Or AEC our colleagues in Singapore as well. Will focus on enhancing the quality of life of patients and contextual reality. But in India , it will concentrate on the rehabilitation hospital . The client will not try to use real life. The recipient of the service has not been trained to correct itself . May be due to contact with the operator is not good enough. Most solutions focus on the physical rather than mental . Therefore, it is thought that the practice in the hospital. And when you 're doing Should have training in real locations. So that the service has had to adapt and solve problems on their own .

What is Strengths and weaknesses in mental health ?

Weaknesses of therapy in Thailand. Therapy is a small number. Many people still do not know And do not understand the role of the occupational therapist as they should. Even the medical personnel themselves. Therefore, we should make clear the role of the occupational therapist . May begin to explain the role of the multidisciplinary team to understand first. The strength is Our principles of occupational therapy And clinical reasons of their own. For use in the treatment of patients. And we ought to explain reasons Clinic to listen to and understand others in treatment also.

What is the Important strategy in mental health ?

Occupational therapy department should reach the clients. Learn the feel Understand the feelings of patients Be a good listener And learn together With clients Access to community and family services. To the fullest approaching Because the treatment of psychiatric patients . Family and social factors are important to help give it a few more treatments . Includes all the cultural and social environment of the client . To look forward to returning to the profession . When patients return to their homes . As well as talking to neighbors and family to understand the symptoms and how to care for patients

What is the difference of Occupational Therapy in Mahidol U and Chiang Mai U. ?

Teaching and course of the two universities are similar. But a University near Bangkok. Provides an opportunity to work with an occupational therapist with specialized and numerous specialty hospitals.

What you want to see the occupation therpy in the future ?

In Thailand, there are patients who have psychiatric symptoms ten million people, but only one million people who have been hospitalized for psychiatric . The future is likely to have symptoms of psychiatric patients who have increased. So we, the therapist should plan more aggressive . Is to help patients and community transport . Environment and culture of the client. Including a focus on mental health prevention & promotion , including the preparation of patients return to work planning and talking to entrepreneurs and people. Generalize the ability to return to work in the factories and in the community of patients. We also hope that in the future there will be an Occupational Therapist in the division increased.

How we'll be on the skills available to the social context in Thailand ?

We can use our skills to make the context and environment of the client. The application of what is available to suit the lifestyle of patients. The recipient can use the life and daily living by themselves the most. Including selection of an appropriate reference frame . Take into account the cultural beliefs of patients. To help clients effectively . Such as Buddhism The temple fair hearing to calm the mind. What I was talking about things that are uncomfortable to listen to Pastor Chris religion and so on.

what are your opinion of the AEC ?

When the AEC therapy of developed countries would take over running the country. Makes competitive employment rate is higher. In Thailand, Occupational therapy for psychiatric disorders will be known more . People began to know and understand more psychiatric patients . But in A lack of knowledge about recovery & well-being , which is a principle that will encourage customers to return to the lifestyle and can be implemented in the context of everyday life as happy as possible . Therefore, we have developed and continue to learn about this .
