Thaksin University is ready to host the 12th IMT-GT Varsity Carnival for the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT)

Regarding the policy agreed by Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia in order to create the cooperation in developing the country in terms of economics, society and education including other perspectives that help create development within the Asian region as they share a great deal of similarities from topography, weather condition, Arts and culture, language and way of living.

Based on the policy of Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle, the universities located within the area agree to develop the students who may be become the leader and important part in determining the future of southern Thailand, Northern Malaysia and Northern Indonesia and to share the experiences and provide close cooperation in several aspects. Thus, the activities are organized in order to open the opportunities for students to work together, share experience of their own cultures with their foreign participants and create the valued way of living together with people from other countires within the region. The activities from sport events, cultural show, workshops and student seminars will be held.

This varsity carnival consists of 3 types of activities that are sport events, cultural exchange show and workshop under the topic of “Sustaining the Authentic Asian Dance and Music” and student seminars under the topic of “Humanizing Leadership Mind”. This also includes the DVC forum under the topic of “Developing Future Leader. Thaksin University is ready to welcome all delegates and participants from our neighboring countries in order to participate in this varsity carnival and to create a better bond between each participant of three countries. It is expected that 800 delegates from university management and students will participate in this carnival.
