This is special occasion that I take note in English language according to our special lecturers are Australian, Dr. David and Prof. Mary. This course was arranged at Kaokho Highland resort in Petchaboon province. The lecture topics are about leadership, organization theory and mixed method research/qualitative research. This series have two parts including the 1st part: David lecture and the 2nd part: Mary lecture. The contents are all about my own reflection on this three day course. And I do not actually mention about all lecture contents which is impossible to type it all !
Dr. David Briggs and Dean Dr. Pudit
First of all, I would like to apologize that I have no picture of Mary and our friends in class. I would like to thanks Ajan Pudit about "perfect word by word translation".
I told David that "Not only correct translation, but Beautiful Thai Language."
Dr. Divid is the senior lecturer at School of Health, university of New England, Australia. He is the expert in primary care management as he is the chairman of New England Medicare local Board (commonwealth organization that have authority in primary care management and support). He is also the editor of Asian Pacific Journal of Health Management (APJHM).
Summary of my self-reflection:
"Health care reform: Australia health care reform for many times in order to improve quality and equity of health care for overall Australian people....what have I learned and gotten some idea for Thailand health care reform? It is impossible to reform if we don't really understand our own context and cristalize our experience into the innovation (making difference)."
" new future never emerge from the old paradigm...that why we need the innovation "
"It is really hard to success in restructure the organization because you may find the resistance ...the better way to improve organization performance come from small continuous functional change...small step rather than a big jump"
"Good manager is the one who working on the edge: the intersection of power boundaries (uncontrol).....that is the collaboration and network work on"
"No single answer for the good management... it is between two end of the line....good leader may fine that balance point..."
David, Thank you for your invaluable experience... it open my vision and inspire me to "walk across my fear barrier".
Your one quotation hit me at heart "Instead of try to change other people....understand yourself and self awareness is the key of success"...this work is the same principle as a Budhism start doing every with Sati...the wisdom will emerge.
I thing it is too long to type....
next part I may talk about Mary "Brilliant lecture of the Qualitative research"
Here is an excellent reflection on your blog. Thank you for your shared experience. Having self-awareness will lead successful translation for a professional health care.
AJ POP, Thank you for that kind comment.
AJ Kajit, it was very long time since I went to Nakornpatum and only inch miss a change to meet you...hope to see you some day
"Instead of try to change other people....understand yourself and self awareness is the key of success"
