4. We have an important mission - to save our world.

Never at anytime in human history that each and everyone of us has larger-than-life challenges and chances to save the world!

Looking around today, we see difficult economy, rising debts (both private -- which means less money to spend, and national or public -- which means higher taxes), climate change (which shows up as extreme and unpredictable weathers such as heat waves, draughts, heavy rains, severe storms, floods and rising sea water levels; it is very important to reduce impacts of climate change by managing all known factors contributing to climate change; whether human activities are the main causes of climate change or not, the most urgent action now is to 'put out the fire' and survive the impacts), rising demand for food and fresh water, higher dependency on electricity and other energy, growing volume of wastes, garbage and pollution, less forests and farm lands and more deserts, more wars and conflicts, ... Crimes and diseases are eroding our lives and wellness. Greed and corruption add salt to our wounds. The world is in turmoil and, now, we need world savers -- You and I!

Aren't presidents and prime ministers around the globe saving their nation and the world? Aren't prominant brains ('geniuses') solving the world problems? Aren't religious leaders urging us to make more peace and love in this world? What about educators, administrators, businesspeople, miners, farmers, ... aren't they saving our world? What about us -- You and I?

We can ignore the problems of our world. We can say we are little and ordinary people we don't have any power or resources to solve our world problems. We can wait and we can live on in our own shell until we die. Then nothing matters anyway! We just pass on these problems. Our children and their children will learn to live with these problems. They will learn to solve these problems or they will die with these problems. They can just pass on these problems to the next generations. Some time later, we -- the whole humanity -- would become extinct. Animals -- all living things which cannot live with less food, with less fresh water, and with the garbage and the pollution left behind would also become extinct. Charles Darwin would smile quietly in his grave -- he had foreseen 'survival of species' and that humanity was not an exception.

There are other ways and other endings. Suppose we took up the challenge and each of us tried to reduce severity of these problems as they come in front of us. And suppose we shared our results so other could adopt or avoid what we had done. Remember our little ants hunting for food? They are ordinary workers doing their work as best as they can. Together, they often succeed and live happily ever after ;) .

Never at anytime in human history that each and everyone of us has larger-than-life challenges and chances to save the world!

<NB> Bees and many animals that live in clans also use this 'work-and-share' strategy to solve their problems.

Today we are in a very adventurous time. Not only that we have so many (some 6 billions) people to work and share, but also we have so many advanced technological gadgets and tools to use. And we can share our learning much faster than ants.

Are we sharing our work or just our garbage? ;-)

สวัสดีครับ  เข้ามาอ่านความรู้ครับ  แปลได้บ้างไม่ได้บ้างก็ว่าไปตามกองทุนภูมิรู้  ขอบคุณที่แบ่งปันครับ

Welcome Khun Dhana Nandabuddha

(Please forgive me for any wrong spelling of your name in Latinized Pali.)

I understand some problems when using English to communicate. I may have written incorrectly, used incorrect words and incorrect grammatical constructs (formulas), ...

Please tell but forgive my silliness and incorrectness in writing -- I am a learner ;-)

We will see how things go after we have interacted for some time. We -- You and I -- will adapt to each other like all new friends do.

At the moment, we have a one-way communication and (some silent) acknowledgement. We want interactions, organization then cooperation in the order. That is there must be a "start action"; before there is a "felt effect" (acknowledgement), before there is an "adaptation", which is an earlier phase of "active participation" (or fully engaged interactions); from here we can talk about "organization" (or taking roles and positions) and we can learn about cooperation (or working together or co-ordination) to achieve a mission.

Stay tuned ... ;-)

The world is in turmoil and, now, we need world savers -- You and I +++

Yes, and it is funny that I have talked about world challenges for us many (at least 4) years ago. The challenges are still here --today--. The challengers are still very scarce. The attitude/mindset is still 'we'll wait and see'. Here is a bigger-than-life chance to become 'the one' and to live forever in the history of mankind. And all we say is 'pass'!
