How to config iwl3945 driver to detect Access point

When I tried to use iwl3945 driver with my wireless card it can't detect any access point so I search in ubuntuforums.org and found this solutions

use this command in super user mode

$sudo echo -e 'alias wlan0 iwl3945 options iwl3945 disable_hw_scan=1' > /etc/modprobe.d/iwl3945
