Social Immunodeficiency syndrome : The social crisis

Everybody have known about the severity of AIDS, but the new emerging disease is more severe, it is SIDS.

          AIDS has firstly found in Thailand in 1984, then there are a lot of HIV infected persons in shortly time later, seem to be explosion, rapidly than outbreak. AIDS is the high severity, a lot of effects, not only to the patients but directly effect to their families, econimicaly status of the country. AIDS patient is infected by HIV, Human Immunodeficiency virus that destroy the immune system of patient and make infected patient weak, prone to opportunity infection, then turn to be AIDS, Acquired Immunodeficiency syndrome.

           But I think that there is more severe disease than AIDS in Thailand and AIDS is one of the effects of this disease, it's called SIDS or Social immunodeficiency syndrome. SIDS is going to rapidly destroy the strenght of Thai social.  The social is the same as our bodies, the person is cell, the family is tissue, the community is organ. You will find the signs and symptoms of SIDS in Thai social such as destroyed family(orphan, child abuse, incest, rape), inappropriate sexual intercourse (teenage pregnancy, abortion, child prostitute), commercial medicine, moral or belief to religion decline, criminal events, focus on money than merit system, etc.

            Why am I interesting this issue? Because social well-being is one of the 4 components of health, physical well-being, psychological well-being, social well-being and spiritual or intelectual well-being. We have tried to do first for individual-physical well-being, but population's health indicators are still poor. So Ithink that we have to do more in dimension of social, that effects many people and degenerate population's health. Although the concept of modern medicine is recommended to apply Holistic health approach, the implementation is still low and especially focused in physical illness in every part of the world.

            I think that SIDS come from social immune decline, and we need the social doctors to cure it. There are 3 main causes of SIDS as following;

1. Lack of knowledge

2. Lack of love

3. Lack of patience

         So, we need to increase social immune by provide social immunization with the 3 vaccines;

1. Knowledge : learning by Knowledge management (Learn, Care, Share, Shine)

2. Love : for themselves, family and other people, friendship, starting with child-maternal bonding by breastfeeding. Know how to give and take.

3. Patience : to concentrate in moral system, belief or religious concept, meditation, training themselves to patient to own desire, diference of thought & belief & religious respect.
