Ummh, I don’t know if I am good enough to understand David Nash (A chainsaw and Blowtorch on -wood and trees- artist). My style is very much opposite. I use water, bio-fertilizer, and placement or arrangement to make my ‘arts’ (alright call it ‘gardening’). But I’ll give it a go. After all, if I close my eyes and mind, then I can’t learn anything. ;-)

I think his work must be creative to have admirers. But changing ‘live trees/plants into arts (of something that once lived)’ does not appeal much to me. I would rather ‘cherish life and let it live cherished’.
Mind you After the storm that broke the drought in Queensland 2 weeks ago, we have yet to clean up and clear broken, dead branches all over our places. They are ‘materials’ for our use (in cooking barbecues, mulch, odd ornament bits,… -my arts :-)
