ทุกเช้าวันจันทร์ถึงวันเสาร์ ที่โรงเรียนจะมีเอาการตอนเช้า ตั้งแต่เวลา เจ็ดโมงครึ่งถึงแปดโมง ซึ่งเอาการตอนเช้า ก็คือการให้นักเรียนได้ฟังนิทานภาษาอังกฤษ หรือที่เราเรียกว่า short stories ซึ่งในแต่ละครั้งก็จะมีนิทานมาให้นักเรียนอ่านแตกต่างกันออกไป การอ่านนิทานภาษาอังกฤษเป็นนโยบายของโรงเรียนที่ต้องการให้นักเรียนได้ฝึกฝนภาษาอังกฤษจากการอ่านนิทาน ทุกเช้านักเรียนจะได้ฟังนิทานจากซีดี และต่อจากนั้นจะฝึกให้นักเรียนอ่านออกเสียงตามซีดีที่ได้ฟังไป นักเรียนจะมีนิทานภาษาอังกฤษเรื่องละแผ่นในมือ ทุกครั้งที่เอาการนักเรียนจะนำแผ่นนิทานออกมาอ่านพร้อมกับฟังซีดีด้วยเสมอ สัปดาห์นี้เป็นนิทานเรื่อง ลากับคนซื้อลา หรือ ชื่อภาษาอังกฤษว่า The Ass and his purchaser
A man wanted to purchase an ass, and agreed with its owner that he should try out the animal before he bought him. He took the ass home and put him in the straw-yard with his other asses upon which the new animal left all the others and at once joined the one that was most idle and the greatest eater of them all. Seeing this,the man put a halter on him and let him back to his owner. On being ask how, in so short a time, he cloud have made a trial on him , he answered," I do not need a trial I know that he will be just the same as the one he chose for his companion".
Moral of the story : A man is known by the company he keeps
จากการอ่านนิทานภาษาอังกฤษเรื่องนี้นอกจากนักเรียนจะได้ฝึกทักษะการฟังและคำศัพท์ที่ได้จากนิทานแล้ว นักเรียนยังได้คติสอนใจจากนิทานที่ได้อ่านอีกด้วย
