My curiosity took me to this :
[sic] “๑. ทบทวน และศึกษารูปแบบการเก็บข้อมูลตัวอย่างซ้ำระดับปฐมวัย (early childhood panel data) ของโครงการลดความเหลื่อมล้ำด้วยการศึกษาปฐมวัยที่มีคุณภาพ หรือการสำรวจข้อมูลตัวอย่างซ้ำไรซ์ไทยแลนู้ด(RIECE Thailand Panel Data) “– https://riped.org/data/riece-panel-data/ – on https://riped.utcc.ac.th/data/riece-panel-data/year-2016/
I went further and looked at the data collection process and found – the Questionnaire goes into land ownership, incomes and jobs (of the head of house holder)
Looking at studies (published in reputable journals) in “research outputs”, I wonder if the project is running out of steam (after 8 years of data collection) – the numbers of respondents are dropping each since the peak in 2016; the research outputs also declined
- a study, with sophisticated statistical analysis, published in 2024 can be summed up in support of “Perry Preschool Project” (A US preschool intervention project that has run with ‘success’ for 50 years; there are other successes like HighScope, and The Carolina Abecedarian projects), and that ‘quality preschool education’ can transform life of children (of lesser equity and equality ‘access to education’).
Let’s us harvest the outputs from RIECE, then crank it up or shut it down.
