A myth of Potemkin [โพ เทม คึน] village (look up https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potemkin_village ] is about creating ‘false images’ to hide the (worse off) reality. Thailand seems to have many masters of political cosmetics. They can come up with programs to spend taxpayers’ money (and create Potemkin village) on facades for the people to see time and time again.
