A study reported in https://scitechdaily.com/feeling-depressed-scientists-have-found-that-performing-acts-of-kindness-may-help/ says ‘dāna is good’ (การให้ทานเป็นบุญ) or giving/help others is actually good for us. The report subtly says ‘social interactions is good us’ because we can’t give or help without another parties. Lest we only give (to) or help ourselves.
The ‘social interactions’ are underlining many ‘positive’ outcomes (go on search the Net for studies on benefits of social interactions ;-) and should be employed more in our lives. The opposites (islands, silos, isolated, hermits, …) by comparisons would seem ‘wicked’ ;-0
