Dear Mom and Dad,

 

Hi, hope you all are doing well! I am on my Internal Medicine rotation (adult medicine). It is very busy! I have only had 2 days off since October 28, the first day of the rotation. My first month of Internal Medicine has been at Rush, and my second month will be at County Hospital (starts this Monday). I have learned a lot about many different diseases (heart attack, blood clot, skin disease, lung disease, and many more). Every fourth day, I work from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. ("long call"). My team members have all been very nice and many like to teach me. Yesterday we had a team potluck after work at my resident's condo. Unfortunately, I have to work on Thanksgiving at County. Hopefully I will get out by 6 p.m., and I will try to come home to have dinner with you guys!! (Maybe someone can pick me up?) Luckily, I will come back Friday night after work, since I have the weekend off to spend with my family!!!

 

Thanks for the cow mun gai, Mom! I can't believe in about 6 weeks we will be in a nice hotel in Florida together/on a boat/ in the Caribbean! I try to think of that to make me work hard 55+. 

 

Everyone, please take care and get enough sleep and be mindful! We will be reunited soon :)
