I have waited 2 months for reactions to my proposed offline (Royal Thai Institute) Thai dictionary on otpc tablets. [See (ร่าง)จดหมาย ชวนราชบัณฑิต ขึ้นแท็บเล็ตสอนเด็ก ฟรี http://www.gotoknow.org/posts/533640 23 เม.ย. 2013] I saw the Minister of MOE changed over last month, the director of สพฐ is about to retired (at end of September), and the release of Royal Institute Thai Dictionary 2554 edition publication. There has been no sign of "free for students and people" (electronic) edition (only printed edition free to government offices). I will move on to my next action: formally setting up โครงการชวนราชบัณฑิตขึ้นแท็บเล็ตสอนเด็ก a public campaign to have Thai dictionary available free of charge to all Thais (and the world). It is a way of promoting quality of Thai life, saving Thai heritage and developing skills for Thai society in this tipping point time.
Yes I have to admit that my Thai skill is quite limited (to draft a 2 page long letter to The Royal Institute in Thai took me over 10 days). I need help in manymore areas too. So how about giving me a hand? Join my public campaign, apply for public funding or make a donation or what you can offer.
If you email sr12zar(at)ahoo(dot)co(dot)th or leave your email address here. I will send you a package with Thai dictionaries I have built and tested for use on Android tablets, Android phones and most computers (Windows and Linux) to show how Thai dictionaries can help with our learning Thai, Buddihism and English, It is a first step towards devoping better quality life and quality society and perhaps, together we can change the world.
Will you walk with me?
