 Buddha Vacana 

Greed, hatred and delusion are unskillful.  Whatever the greedy, hating or deluded person does with body, speech or mind – that is unskillful too.  Whatever one overwhelmed by greed, hatred or delusion and with mind uncontrolled, does to another, unjustly causing him suffering through punishment, imprisonment, fine, abuse, banishment, or on the excuse that ‘might is right’ – all that is unskillful, too.

ีืunskillful = อกุศลกรรม?

 

ถ้าใช่ ผมว่า ฝรัึ่งอาจแปลไม่ตรงนัก  ใจผมอยากแปลว่า  un-virtous deeds เสียมากกว่า   หรือ  un-meritorious deeds ก็ได้    เพราะคำว่า skill นั้น มันอาจ skill ไปในทางอกุศลก็เป็นได้ เช่น โจรปล้นเก่ง ก็ skillful  เหมือนกันนะครับ  ดังนั้ัน การปล้นไม่เก่ง ก็เป็น unskillful ก็เลยกลายเป็น อ-อกุศลกรรม ไปได้ เหมือนกัน :-)

I agree with you.

According to the Concise Pali-English Dictionary (CPED) used in Digital Pali Reader (DPR):

   akusala: demerit; sin; bad action. (adj.), unskilful. (nt.)

Perhaps, in a neutral sense (not taking side on either 'good' or 'bad') 'unacceptable' might be used for 'akusala' (อกุศล).

I learned that an old Persian religion worshiping the God of Land (Asura อสูระ) somehow came into conflicts with a newer (Hindi) religion worshiping the God of Wars (Rama ราม). The old religion lost that war (farmers vs warriors) and we now say Asura is bad or unskilful.
