Buddha Vacana (December 12, 2555)
The Tathagata does not live in abundance, he does not revert to the life of abundance, nor does he waver in his striving. The Tathagata is a perfected one, a fully enlightened Buddha. So give ear, for the Immortal has been discovered and I instruct, I teach the Dhamma.
<The Immortal here refers to the Universal Truth. In modern term 'an invariant' or a universal law.
We may wonder why we build grand mansions (viharas) to house statues of the Buddha against the Buddha's wish for a life among people -- not in luxurious abundance. Are we not wrongly representing the Buddha way of life?>
