Dear Pa' G and Pa' N,
  
Hello! I hope you are doing great. Thank you so much for taking care of my mom and dad in Thailand. I think they are having a great time and that they are especially enjoying meditating, travelling, and eating delicious food.
 
I am doing well. I miss Thailand but have been very busy lately! I am about halfway through my second year of medical school at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois. At the end of the year, I will take an exam, then I will train in the hospital for 2 years. I am still not sure of what kind of doctor I want to be, but hopefully I will know after my training lets me experience different fields.
 
School and studying has kept me quite busy, but I try to find time for myself too. I don't meditate as much as I would like to formally, but I try to be mindful throughout my daily life and be aware of my breathing, body position, and emotions. I joined a swim team this past summer, but I stopped when school started. I recently ran a 5K race, and I just joined yoga. It is a good practice that incorporates mindfulness into your body. 
 
This week we have a break from school because of Thanksgiving (a U.S. holiday). My little sister and I will go to our cousins' houses for the holiday since my parents are in Thailand and my older sister will be working.

Dear Katie,

So good to hear from you and heard that you study hard . Even though you study hard you should relax and take care of yourself . 
It was so great to meet your parents here in Bangkok. We haven't met  your Dad for 38 years , had a good time  and talked & talked. 
I am going to meditate to a new Wat as suggested by your parents .
I just retired from my work . Have plenty of time to do whatever I want to do such as travelling , enjoying the time with friends and meditation.
