Yes amazing.
Some 20 years ago a pair of sports shoes ($180) cost twice as much as a ton of wheat ($90). Australian farmers brought some 20 tons of wheat and dumped the wheat in front of the parliament house. The Government (at the time) got the point and quickly amended the situation.
I wonder if 20 tons of rice (smuggled in from Cambodia) in front of Thailand's parliament house would turn any pretty head at all.
