Dear  Professor Chira , ambassador Pittaya , Mr.Yom

I am glad to have a great opportunity to meet and share idea with ambassador Pittaya. That’s very kind of him to inform us his experience in other country as ambassadorship.  There are a lot of things that I haven’t known before. All of information which told us are very useful, especially for Human resource management.

Because we can’t manage HR like the traditional way, such as recruiting, training, paying wages, but  people who work about HR have to add value to person in organization. Thus HR officer should have extensive vision to deal with changeful social.

Doing business with other country, we have to learn basic of that country. So it is very lucky for us to know about social in other country by ambassador Pittaya especially in Japan where is the big and interested market to export.  For HRM, we can use this information to apply to manage person in organization.  Although Japan was loser in World War, has natural calamity, lack of natural resource but  Japan has great human resource ,  Japanese have 5 strong points  i.e. discipline, believe in self honor, tidy, grouping mentality, mild-mannered. All of them strengthen Japan to grow very fast and being the leader in world business. In my opinion, Thailand have a lot of strong points such as natural resource, nice culture, but most of Thai people don’t have discipline , selfish, don’t have alignment. These are resistance to make Thailand to the better way. If we can change our person in organization as Japanese strong point  blend with Thai strong point, it can support to reach organization purpose and make growth of Thailand. The important is continuous, not  temporary done.            There are some weak points that ambassador Pittaya said about Japanese as the article informs. Japan has rigid system and conformity so it is hardly and slowly to change and adapt for Japan. In the article informs about harmony  consensus and decision making. Bottom-up decision  and Ringi system are good  pattern for working in group that allow everyone to participate. I think  Thai organization should apply these idea to HMR. Because it make people in organization  to have alignment, so it is easy to work together.
