Yes. It is sad that we have to learn 'the re-discovery' from western sciences. Because, we in the east dress up eastern sciences as 'myths and legends' and that are 'old fashion'.

I wen looking for 'ancient Thai gardens' among old historic sites in Thailand and found 'no evidence'. Surely with great buildings and places of great significance, there must be equally grand gardens or landscapings around. The conclusion I could come up with is we can rocks but not trees.

In the Tipitaka, there are many verses describing gardens. forests, fields and trees but no more than 'passing comments' on buildings. This may say that (eastern) people paid attention to trees 2500 years ago but not anymore.

Yes. We need to re-kindle that love of trees, nature and harmony instead of the alternative - look for another world!
