Absolutely Pojana Yeamnaiyana Ed.D.: Lots of things are done in the same way over and over so they become a norm for society to expect and to follow. If we want change then we have to change. We have to rewire our brains, reconnect our networks and invent our own future.
You hit the nail on the head in your comment. We should ask if Thailand borrowed to invest (in infrastructures) to raise GDP (numbers); how many Thai people would get (not just chances to) better lives? Can we justify the investment in benefits to people terms. Afterall, it's the people who have to pay for these (public) debts/investments (not government) on top of their own household debts.
We have choices to follow the 'business as usual' or to change -- starting from ourselves.
