เคยแนะนำ Avast! AntiVirus , Free-av และ Clam AntiVrus ไปแล้ว เจอตัวใหม่อีกตัวชื่อ Active Virus Shield, AOL’s AVS (เห็นจากข่าว AOL แจกแอนตี้ไวรัสฟรี ที่ blognone)

เป็นที่รู้กันว่า Kav เป็น software anti virus ที่ดีมากตัวหนึ่ง ติดอันดับ top 5 เสียด้วย ลองด ูTop Antivirus Software จะเห็นว่า Norton anti virus (NAV) เองอยู่อันดับห้า ส่วน Kav

แต่เมื่อมาให้ใช้ฟรี (อาจจะการสนับสนุนของ AOL ก็แล้วแต่) ก็ต้องมีการลด feature ที่ไม่จำเป็นออกไปอย่างแน่นอน ที่ blognone เห็นคุณ lewCPE ก็บอกว่า

สรุปว่ามันคือ KAV ที่ตัดเอาระบบป้องกันเว็บ, Proactive Protection, Rookit, และฟีเจอร์ชั้นสูงอีกสามสี่อย่าง

ไม่ได้บอกว่า Active Virus Shield จะดีกว่า Avast! AntiVirus นะครับ แต่จากชื่อของ Kav แล้ว ก็คงยอดเยี่ยมไม่แพ้กัน เอาว่า ทั้งสองตัว เป็น anti virus ที่ดีมากแล้วกัน
