SQLite นี่ Apple ติดกับ Mac OS X 10.4.x มาให้เลยใช่เปล่า? ใช้งานเล็กๆ ก็ดีมีไฟล์เดียวด้วย แต่ว่าพอข้อมูลมากๆ แล้วช้าเมื่อเทียบกับ MySQL (เท่าที่เคยใช้อะนะครับ)

ผมคิดว่า sqlite เหมาะสำหรับพวก embeded database (อย่างพวก dictionary), web เล็กๆ, PDA (Windows Mobile, Palm, Symbian) มากกว่า

คงไม่มีใครใช้เก็บข้อมูลใหญ่จนถึง  2TB แน่

แสดงให้เห็นถึงการเปรียบเทียบประสิทธิภาพระหว่าง sqlite และ mysql

เรื่อง Select/Update/Delete sqlite ทำได้ดีกว่า (เร็วกว่า) แต่เป็นการทดสอบกับข้อมูลแค่ 25000 records เอง  ข้อมูลที่ใช้ทดสอบ น่าจะมีมากกว่านี้ :)
