โครงการศูนย์กลางความรู้แห่งชาติ (Thailand Knowledge Center: TKC)    

    โครงการศูนย์กลางความรู้แห่งชาติ   (Thailand Knowledge Center: TKC)   เป็นโครงการของกระทรวงเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการสื่อสาร   มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเป็นศูนย์กลางในการรวบรวมความรู้ในสาขาวิชาต่างๆ เพื่อเผยแพร่แก่ประชาชน นิสิต นักศึกษา   นักเรียน โดยเน้นการจัดและเผยแพร่ในลักษณะสื่อดิจิตัลในรูปแบบต่างๆ ตั้งแต่ลักษณะตัวอักษร รูปภาพ รวมถึงสื่อมัลติมีเดีย   มีการจัดแบ่งองค์การความรู้ออกเป็นกลุ่ม ประกอบด้วยภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น และองค์ความรู้ในสาขาวิชาต่างๆ 13 สาขา
    นอกจากนี้ TKC ยังพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน (Infrastructure) เพื่อรองรับการจัดการความรู้ในรูปแบบต่างๆ รวมถึงสนับสนุนการจัดตั้งชุมชนนักปฏิบัติ (Community of Practices: CoPs) เพื่อร่วมพัฒนาและจัดการองค์ความรู้ในสาขาต่าง ๆ อีกด้วย

  

    

Thailand Knowledge Center: TKC    

    “Thailand Knowledge Centre” is a project, belonged to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology with the aims at promoting development and management of knowledge in the digital media i.e., text-based, image, and also multimedia.  More information of the project can be accessed through www.tkc.go.th.  The objective of this project is to become a knowledge centre for the Thai people.  The TKC website is organized in such a way that it is devided into two major parts, namely, the Local Community Knowledge such as the local foods, herbs, and spa, etc. and the the Non-local knowledge such as other science and technology topics.  The latter includes 13 areas of different knowledge.
    Furthermore, to facilitate this project extensive network and infrastructure were also developed to support its Content management, TKC mail, Search engin, Multimedia services, E-Learning, Web conference, TKC portal and the Community of Practices (CoPs).
