กิจกรรมที่ไม่ก่อให้เกิดประโยชน์...น่าเป็นห่วงสำหรับเยาวชนในสังคมไทย

ผลสำรวจชี้ให้เห็นว่าเยาวชนไทยในทุกวันนี้สนใจและใช้เวลาไปกับกิจกรรมที่ไม่ก่อให้เกิดประโยชน์ทั้งต่อตนเองและสังคมเท่าไรนัก โดยส่วนใหญ่หมดไปกับการพูดคุยสังสรรค์กับเพื่อนฝูง เล่นเกม คุยโทรศัพท์ และดูโทรทัศน์ ประกอบกับการที่พวกเขาใช้เวลาหลังเลิกเรียนอยู่กับเพื่อนมากกว่าพ่อแม่ หรือบางคนต้องอยู่คนเดียวเพราะพ่อแม่ยังกลับไม่ถึงบ้านก็ยิ่งน่าเป็นห่วงว่าเยาวชนเหล่านี้จะขาดการชี้แนะที่ถูกต้อง
นอกจากนี้ ผลสำรวจยังสะท้อนปัญหาที่น่าเป็นห่วงสำหรับสังคมไทยอีกประการหนึ่งคือการที่เยาวชนไทยส่วนใหญ่ยังคงไม่มีเป้าหมายในชีวิต ทั้งนี้แม้แต่กลุ่มที่กำลังศึกษาในระดับปริญญาตรีซึ่งควรจะเป็นเยาวชนชั้นแนวหน้าของสังคมและเหลือเวลาอีกไม่นานก็จะจบออกไปทำงานรับผิดชอบชีวิตตนเองแล้วแต่ปรากฏว่ามีจำนวนเกือบครึ่งที่ระบุว่ายังไม่มีเป้าหมายในชีวิตที่ชัดเจนว่าเมื่อจบการศึกษาแล้วจะไปทำอะไร
From this point I got a research paper conducted by my co-supervisor, Associate Prof. Anne Passmore.
This study has primarily focused on time use in 850 adolescents around Australia. that are very important to understand three factors while the adolescents are participating leisure activities. They are self-efficacy, self-competence, and global self-worth.
Thai researchers may like to find any intervention for improving these three factors krab!
Leisure participation in achievement, social, and time out activities positively influences those three factors which are related to an enhancement of mental health.
An example of those types of leisure is: balancing of time use and enjoyment for engaging in meaningful and educational activities, not too much isolation but optimal company of other good friends.
