อยากรู้ว่าคำว่า meme ในชื่อ MemeExpress ซึ่งเป็นระบบซอฟต์แวร์ที่ GotoKnow.org ใช้ แปลว่าอะไร คืออะไร

ตอนแรกนึกว่ามันคือ memo(randum)

ไม่ใช่แฮะ แต่ก็คล้าย ๆ ล่ะ มาจากคำว่า memory เหมือนกัน และเกีี่ยวกับการ "ส่งผ่าน" เหมือนกัน

วิกิพีเดีย ให้นิยามหยาบ ๆ (แต่สุภาพ) ไว้ว่า

any piece of information transferable from one mind to another

"สารสนเทศอะไรก็ได้ ที่สามารถส่งผ่านจากความคิดหนึ่ง ไปยังอีกความคิดหนึ่งได้"

ชื่อ MemeExpress ก็ดูจะเหมาะกับ GotoKnow.org ดี :)
